Traditional greek oil wrestling

The traditional wrestling is related to festivals. There you meet the last traditional wrestlers, who called ”pehlibanides”. Athletes wear trousers made by goat’s leather (“kiouspeti” or “kispeti”) and they cover their body with oil. The entrance of the athletes to wrestling field (“aloni”) is done with slaps on the knees and other gestures (“tsalimia”). During the wrestling, the sound of loud music is heard (“zournas” and “daouli”), which playing until the winner is emerged.
